After having photographed Carla and Andrew’s beautiful rustic wedding in Oak Glen three years ago, and before their beach maternity portrait session, these expecting parents had two baby shower events, one from each mother! And with the fun theme of ‘adventure’, Carla’s mother’s backyard baby shower was filled with hot air balloons, maps, and a toy biplane soaring through the sky. What a lucky boy!
One part of photography that I really enjoy getting to do is to document various religious events that I otherwise don’t get to experience due to my own religion. This time around, it’s Jack’s Catholic baptism event at the beautiful USC Caruso Catholic Center while being supported by many of their family’s close friends and family.
We quickly photographed Jack getting ready for his big ceremony at a residential house nearby, and once the ceremony at USC was finished, we zipped over to El Cholo restaurant for a fun reception. Marissa and Ron, thanks for having me as your Los Angeles baptism photographer!
Just after Valentine’s Day, I had the pleasure of once again being one of the many amazing sponsors of The Heart Series – a conference on business x bettering the world (view last year’s blog feature). Once again, it was an amazing conference to be a part of, and I had such a great time documenting all the keynote speakers from companies such as UpWorthy, EveryTable, Dizzy Feet Foundation, Yoobi, and Global Citizen, as well as the attendees and their fervor to listen, learn, and give back to the community. Thanks for having me as your Los Angeles business conference photographer!
Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood of West Hollywood, right off the bustling street of Santa Monica Blvd, is a unique Petite Ermitage hotel that’s full of bohemian character. It was here that Tia’s bridal shower took place. Everyone was dressed so beautifully, which made the old charm venue such a fitting place to have such a darling soiree.
In a quiet beautiful mid-century home in LA, Jack had his first Backyard Birthday Party and it was an intimate affair with close friends in attendance. Soon enough, though, the party was “raising the tent” as everyone gathered under the outdoor tent, singing some fun songs, shaking some instruments, and playing with some bubbles. Ah, to be one again.
I recently had the honor of photographing little Connor’s first birthday in the La Cañada Country Club and its theme was ‘The Giving Tree’, based on Shel Silverstein’s kids book. I personally love the book and seeing it as a theme for a birthday party made it that much more fun to photograph! All the little details that they put together is just astounding!
Having photographed Connor’s big brother Colin’s first birthday a few years back, it was such a treat to meet up with this family once again over another joyous occasion. Connor looks so much like his brother, especially as they’re both wearing light denim button-up shirts and khaki pants for both occasions, hehe.
