Annette’s Bridal Shower

STEVENSON RANCH, CALIFORNIA

After working with Annette for Confetti by Annette’s 2014 lookbook, I was excited to hear that she is getting married in Paris later this spring! What an amazing location to have a wedding!!!

For her Los Angeles bridal shower, Annette’s bridesmaids held a backyard party that is just so picturesque. I LOVE shooting bridal showers because it’s just a bunch of girls having fun while being surrounded by such pretty things! Of course, that’s not to say that there aren’t some tears being shed, as you’ll see in this post!

Josephine’s Dohl Celebration

KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES

Josephine is such an adorable little girl! When she had her dohl birthday party to celebrate turning one, she wore a cute blush-colored sparkly princess dress that matched her big sister. I love when sibling’s outfits match!

The family held Josephine’s birthday party at her grandmother’s Korean restaurant in Koreatown called Yongsusan. There were many little ones running around, enjoying the festivities and playing with the birthday girl, who was just full of smiles!

Roman’s 3rd Birthday

ENCINO, CALIFORNIA

A few weeks ago, Roman had his 3rd year birthday bash at Kidz Korner in Encino. All of the kids had a blast there! Even the adults joined in on the fun and let loose their inner youth, haha. There were so many things that had everyone jumping for joy like the rollercoaster cars, basketball hoops, arcade games, obstacle course, among other things.

Roman was totally into the obstacle course / jungle gym hybrid thingy, and he was so much fun to photograph as he ran and played with just about everything!

Andrea’s ‘Fifty and Free’ Birthday

GRANADA HILLS, CALIFORNIA

There are several holidays throughout the year that I am a fan of. Halloween is not one of them. On that day, I am in the minority. No, I won’t be watching horror (too much of a whimp). No, I won’t be dressed up somewhere (too scared to go outside). On most halloweens (or basically all after 2006) you can find me sitting at home, browsing the interwebs in my pajamas. But this past Halloween, things were shaken up a bit.

Because on that day, Andrea was having her ‘Fifty and Free’ party to celebrate her fiftieth birthday event to which I was asked to photograph. Let’s see, look at cat pictures all night or have fun at Andrea’s celebration… hmmmmmm. ;D

Andrea’s milestone party was done by the talented event planner DeNeitra at Savvy Events. With a color scheme of the orange spectrum, the ballroom at Knollwood Country Club was decked out with sweets and treats, lounges that gave the vibe of a nightclub, a fun photobooth with instant-film polaroids, and the proud words ‘Fifty and Free’.

Max’s Second Birthday

ENCINO, CALIFORNIA

For Max’s second birthday, his parents decided to invite friends and family to celebrate at My Gym, a children’s fitness center that I seem to be seeing everywhere! Inside, there is a playground that I know I would have loved as a kid – slides, trampoline, ballpen, strings from the ceiling, roley-bally-thingy, and space to just run around with plenty of cushions for protection.

It was such an interactive party, and you can really tell how much fun the birthday boy was having. He was going 100mph through the obstacles, playing with everything in sight, and the other kids followed suit!

Ava’s First Birthday

LITTLE TOKYO, LOS ANGELES

When I first started Paper Ban Photography a couple of years ago, one of my first wedding clients was Jackie and Jim. They were such a nice couple, and I am honored for them to ask me to photograph their daughter Ava’s first birthday.

For Ava’s dol celebration, the family held a party at X-Lanes Bowling in Little Tokyo. To see little kids bowling and getting SO excited about hitting the pins was so adorable! Their eyes would get so big in anticipation as they released their bowling balls onto the steel-roley-thing. Ava, being only one, couldn’t really participate in the funness of bowling, but she was happily hugged and kissed by just about everyone!
