Alison and Tony

Los Angeles Wedding Photographerlocation TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA

The day before Alison and Tony’s vow renewal celebration, Southern California was met with a rainy and dreary day. I feared the worst, expecting that the ceremony would be doused in similar weather. However, that was not the case at all. As Alison and Tony’s intimate guests gathered on the lawn of Ponte Winery in Temecula, the blue sky was covered with spots of dramatic clouds. You couldn’t ask for better weather.

With that said, the rest of the celebration was equally as beautiful. After having been married for over two decades, Alison and Tony did something that I think is so romantic – they celebrated their marriage once more in front of close friends and family. This time, their three boys joined in the celebration!

Jennie and Eng

locationMALIBU, CALIFORNIA

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of second shooting for Kien Lam Photography for the coverage of  Jennie and Eng’s wedding. It was such a gorgeous wedding, taking place in a dream location in the mountains of Malibu – Calamigos Ranch. Jennie looked so princess-like, as she wore a tiara, ballgown dress, and sparkly Christian Louboutin shoes. And Eng, I think he was pretty blown away when he saw his princess (soon to be queen) during their First Look!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the day:

Christina and Ronald’s Library Wedding

Los Angeles Wedding Photographer

locationCERRITOS, CALIFORNIA

During our initial meeting, I had the impression that Christina or Ronald weren’t very excited about their upcoming wedding. But boy, was I wrong! As the day of their wedding progressed, both Christina and Ronald were crying left and right, and emotions were flying sky high! Ah, the things we witness as a wedding photographer.

One of my personal favorite moments was when Christina read Ronald’s note as she was getting ready, which I find so romantic to do! Another was the Korean ritual of hitting the feet of the husband with a baseball bat at the end of the wedding (you’ll see this in action in the last image!)!!

Take a look at a few of my favorite photos from their big day below, set in Cerritos Library!

Dee and Jonathan

locationLONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA

I knew from their El Matador engagement session that Dee and Jonathan were a carefree type of couple. I adore that about them. When I arrived at Dee’s house to photograph her and her bridesmaids getting ready, she quickly admitted, in a relaxed tone, that she had forgotten to bring all the items usually necessary for the detailed shots – invitations, bouquet, rings, etc. As the wedding photographer, I panicked a little bit, but she shrugged it off, and I admire that about her.

Throughout the day, it was very clear that the wedding was about Dee and Jonathan, and the important people that mattered in their lives, who came together on their special day to celebrate their union, without stressing about the little things.

Dee and Jonathan, I wish you the best. Thank you for having me be a part of your special day!

Jamie and Randy’s Backyard Wedding

Los Angeles Backyard Wedding Photographer

locationMONTROSE, CALIFORNIA

Jamie and Randy had SUCH a chill wedding. One of the reasons for that is because they already got married late last year in Hawaii!- and they wanted to host another wedding in the Montrose area as some of their closest friends and family couldn’t make it the first time around. Even the priest (who wore sandals, btw! :D) commented on how Jamie and Randy were one of the most at-ease and relaxed couple he’s ever united, haha.

The ceremony was held in Holy Redeemer – St. James the Less Catholic church in Montrose. Afterwards, everyone went to Randy’s parents’ house for a laid-back backyard wedding reception. Their reception was filled with colorful paper lanterns, pretty patterned papers, and tacos!

Jamie and Randy, thank you for having me photograph your wedding!

Hilda and Luis

Los Angeles Wedding Photographer

locationPASADENA, CALIFORNIA

When Hilda opened her hotel room door, she was as calm as a butterfly. She had already gotten her hair done and was sorting out the guest table name cards for the reception. When Luis opened his hotel room door, he was a bit less calm. But that didn’t stop the guys from watching a bit of sports.

Keeping to traditions, Hilda and Luis never laid eyes until the grand entrance of the Bride at the Church. It was clear how must Luis loves Hilda in that instant, as his eyes instantly began to water. And no wonder, for Hilda looked gorgeous in her dress!

Thank you, Hilda and Luis, for having me photograph your wedding day!
