In the Meadow – Bridal Inspiration

Many many moons ago, I teamed up with makeup artist Nathaly Morago to do a styled shoot with an Indian flare. Since then, we’ve been wanting to do another styled shoot, specifically a bridal one, and it took a long while until things finally came into place to make that shoot happen! With my friend Rachell as the stunning bride in her own bridal dress, Tiffany & Co. pearl necklace, Spanish-styled veil, and gold Jimmy Choo kitten heels, we flounced around a nearby meadow to make these images happen.

Sanam’s Backyard Bridal Shower

STEVENSON RANCH, CALIFORNIA

In a wedding, there are so many milestones in and of itself. There’s the proposal, the wedding dress hunt, the wedding planning, the bachelor(ette) parties, etc. etc. And then there’s the bridal shower. The bridal shower, where the bridesmaids host a party in honor of the bride, is what I happen to photograph a couple of weeks ago for a sweetheart of a bride name Sanam.

Taking place in her mother’s home, who was also one of the hosts, this intimate bridal shower was decked out in beautiful floral bouquets, stringed lanterns, homemade food and a delectable cake made from their family-owned bakery!

As the event progressed, food was eaten, games were played, but little did Sanam know a surprise was waiting for her. In the middle of opening some beautifully wrapped presents, a knock on the door occurred. One of her bridesmaids opened it, and in waltz her fiancé! If Sanam’s face was smiling before, her face was just lighting up like a Christmas tree at that moment!

Hannah’s Malibu Winery Bridal Shower

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

Remember that one day, some time last weekend, when the temperature was sky-rocket high?! I do, mainly because I was enjoying the hot outdoor weather at Hannah’s bridal shower, which took place at Malibu Wines, a vineyard in the canyons of Malibu. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves irregardless of the heat!

As the guests arrived, they were treated to a ‘Mad Hatter/Wonderland’ themed lunch, with little bowler hats and cute decor. Hannah, with her elegant white dress and diamond-shaped sky-blue earrings, has such a lovely character to her which you can tell with every smile she made (and she smiled a lot!).

Jennifer’s Bridal Shower

GRANADA HILLS, CALIFORNIA

During the fall of last year, I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Levik’s Vietnamese Engagement Party. It was a great experience, as I had never been to one before (view the link to see some of the photos!).

This time, however, Jennifer had a more Western event – a bridal shower! With an event filled with great food, fun games, dancing, an awesome bride, and a happy surprise, Jennifer’s bridal shower was so fun to photograph! View some of my favorite photos below:
