WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA
Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood of West Hollywood, right off the bustling street of Santa Monica Blvd, is a unique Petite Ermitage hotel that’s full of bohemian character. It was here that Tia’s bridal shower took place. Everyone was dressed so beautifully, which made the old charm venue such a fitting place to have such a darling soiree.
LA CAÑADA, CALIFORNIA
I recently had the honor of photographing little Connor’s first birthday in the La Cañada Country Club and its theme was ‘The Giving Tree’, based on Shel Silverstein’s kids book. I personally love the book and seeing it as a theme for a birthday party made it that much more fun to photograph! All the little details that they put together is just astounding!
Having photographed Connor’s big brother Colin’s first birthday a few years back, it was such a treat to meet up with this family once again over another joyous occasion. Connor looks so much like his brother, especially as they’re both wearing light denim button-up shirts and khaki pants for both occasions, hehe.
ENCINO, CALIFORNIA
Last year, I had the pleasure of photographing Roman’s birthday. This year, I was happy to photograph him again, but this time, during his little brother’s first birthday party! Damian, the adorable baby in a Disney-themed onesie, celebrated his first year birthday at the indoor playground Kidz Korner with friends and family.
It was fun photographing kids being kids. It was even more fun photographing adults channeling their inner child as they played basketball, going down slides, dressing up in costumes, and rolling around with their own kids.
DOWNTOWN, LOS ANGELES
I don’t think I’ve ever featured corporate events that I’ve photographed on this website. Times are changing, my friends, because I’m going to start posting them! I recently covered an event for Lockton Companies at the Luxe City Hotel Center outdoor patio. With the downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers surrounding us, and L.A. Live right across the street, everyone in attendance was having a good time.
WOODLAND HILLS, CALIFORNIA
It’s always a pleasure to photograph a client through more than one life milestone. The first time I photographed this family was when Ethan had his first birthday two years ago. Then, his mother’s maternity portraits the year after. And now – I can’t believe how time has passed – it’s Ethan’s 3rd birthday and Ella’s 1st birthday joint party!
Their birthday bash was at the indoor playground Kids Ahoy! and they had the cutest theme of the sea. Both Ella and Ethan were met with many hugs and kisses by the adults, and many friends to play with. Adorably, one of Ella’s baby friends dressed exactly the same as her without intending to, from the flamingo dress to the metallic fringe shoes (photo below)!
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA
Elizabeth recently celebrated her bridal shower at Pasadena’s Tea Rose Garden. There is something about English high tea that is so darling. Oh, right. The lush garden setting, the adorably intricate teacups, dressing up with a cute hair accessory, and being around friends and family over a cup of tea and finger sandwiches. What’s more, there was an addition of an awesome desert bar with teacup-shaped cakepops and an ornate cake. I absolutely love the little details that went into Elizabeth’s bridal shower decor!
Games and festivities coincided at various times during the event like ‘What’s on the Apron’, and which envelope included a photo of her fiance. Her fiance did make a surprise appearance towards the end of the party, and everyone started to play the ‘He Said, She Said’ game.
