Lucia and Alex’s Wedding at Middle Ranch Lodge

It was only a few months ago that I photographed Alex and Lucia’s engagement session overlooking downtown Los Angeles, that it was hard to believe their wedding day was already here! Out in the far reaches of Los Angeles is a quiet area known to be for horse lovers, and it was here that they decided to hold their wedding, specifically in a venue called Middle Ranch Lodge.

Alex and Lucia disregarded many of wedding traditions, and kept true to themselves. From getting ready in the same room, to wearing a beautifully structured suit and a lace jumpsuit. Everyone in attendance was full of emotions, especially when it came to the toasts.

Christine & Abdul’s DTLA Engagement

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I met up with Christine and Abdul in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles to photograph their engagement session. They wanted an urban setting and DTLA became the perfect backdrop. With large pink and white balloons in tow, we wandered the streets aimlessly and found so many little areas within a few short blocks.

It’s always a pleasure meeting couples that met online, as that is how I met my fiance, and hearing the story of how Christine met Abdul through a community website that he started warms my heart. She has such a gentle personality and he a can-do attitude, photographing these two for their DTLA engagement portraits was so effortless. I can’t wait to document their wedding in a few months!

Eliotte and Ryan’s Wedding at Pearl Stable

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

On a cloudy Texas day, Eliotte and Ryan got ready for their big day at Hotel Valencia right on the beautiful San Antonio River Walk. It was in the hotel’s lovely courtyard that these two met with each other for the first time, all smiles and giggles as they exchanged private letters. After they officially tied the knot at Margaret B. Parker Chapel at Trinity University, everyone eagerly headed over to the reception venue, the Pearl Stable, to get their party on. Definitely the most intense dancing I’ve seen to have happened on the dance floor, haha.

As a huge fan of traveling, it was such an honor to be asked to document Eliotte and Ryan’s wedding in San Antonio, Texas. I had never been to Texas prior, and absolutely enjoyed photographing an awesome couple in new territory. From photographing Ryan and Eliotte’s beach engagement session, I knew that photographing their wedding would be just as equally awesome. They are such a down to Earth couple with such kind hearts. I seriously have the best clients!

Olia and Guillaume’s Intimate Wedding at Paramour Estate

SILVERLAKE, CALIFORNIA

Olia and Guillaume, and the rest of their wedding guests, flew in from France to Los Angeles to have an intimate wedding at the amazing Paramour Estate on top of Silverlake. With a Great Gatsby type of wedding in mind, the Paramour Estate was the perfect location to have it. The interior decor was very eclectic, with furniture from different parts of the world, large ornate paintings, and taxidermy in every room.

Olia wore a beautiful 1920’s style wedding dress, intricately woven with beads, while Guillaume looked absolutely dapper in his light blue suit with white trimmings. Emotions ran high during the ceremony, when Olia was in such a joyous state that tears would not stop, and to comfort her, Guillaume was ever so gentlemanly that he would give her kisses before the official “you may kiss your bride” statement! D’aw!

In so many ways, Olia has such a firecracker personality, it was an absolute joy to photograph their wedding. They even opted for a completely documentary-style coverage – no posed photos!

In the Meadow – Bridal Inspiration

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Many many moons ago, I teamed up with makeup artist Nathaly Morago to do a styled shoot with an Indian flare. Since then, we’ve been wanting to do another styled shoot, specifically a bridal one, and it took a long while until things finally came into place to make that shoot happen! With my friend Rachell as the stunning bride in her own bridal dress, Tiffany & Co. pearl necklace, Spanish-styled veil, and gold Jimmy Choo kitten heels, we flounced around a nearby meadow to make these images happen.

I love how these photos came out!

Annette’s Bridal Shower

STEVENSON RANCH, CALIFORNIA

After working with Annette for Confetti by Annette’s 2014 lookbook, I was excited to hear that she is getting married in Paris later this spring! What an amazing location to have a wedding!!!

For her Los Angeles bridal shower, Annette’s bridesmaids held a backyard party that is just so picturesque. I LOVE shooting bridal showers because it’s just a bunch of girls having fun while being surrounded by such pretty things! Of course, that’s not to say that there aren’t some tears being shed, as you’ll see in this post!
