Karina and Misa Wedding at Rancho Buena Vista Adobe

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

It’s crazy to think that years after high school ended, I would be reunited with an old high school classmate by photographing her wedding day. What’s possibly even crazier is that I was apparently also in the same middle school as her fiancé! Small world, seriously. But I’m glad it happened, as Misa and Karina’s Vista wedding at Rancho Buena Vista Adobe venue was SUCH a joy to photograph.

After photographing their engagement session in Julian, I found out how laid back they were. It wasn’t until photographing their wedding did I REALLY find out how laid back they were. From introducing the wedding party by doing a Star Wars skit, to dancing on the dance floor with a guest dressed up as a dinosaur, to doing a mosh pit, they were ready to have fun and every moment was filled with surprises.

As a bonus, I was even able to chat with a newlywed couple guest that I had the honor of photographing last year. Ah, fun times.

Olia and Guillaume’s Intimate Wedding at Paramour Estate

SILVERLAKE, CALIFORNIA

Olia and Guillaume, and the rest of their wedding guests, flew in from France to Los Angeles to have an intimate wedding at the amazing Paramour Estate on top of Silverlake. With a Great Gatsby type of wedding in mind, the Paramour Estate was the perfect location to have it. The interior decor was very eclectic, with furniture from different parts of the world, large ornate paintings, and taxidermy in every room.

Olia wore a beautiful 1920’s style wedding dress, intricately woven with beads, while Guillaume looked absolutely dapper in his light blue suit with white trimmings. Emotions ran high during the ceremony, when Olia was in such a joyous state that tears would not stop, and to comfort her, Guillaume was ever so gentlemanly that he would give her kisses before the official “you may kiss your bride” statement! D’aw!

In so many ways, Olia has such a firecracker personality, it was an absolute joy to photograph their wedding. They even opted for a completely documentary-style coverage – no posed photos!

Bianca and Alex’s Wedding at Fallbrook Hacienda

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

In case you didn’t know, I once lived in San Diego county for a big chunk of my life before moving back to Los Angeles. It’s always fun visiting sunny San Diego any time I can, even more so when it’s to photograph a fun wedding for a couple of awesome people like Alex and Bianca!

Their ceremony was held in St. Patrick’s Church in Carlsbad, while the reception was in the gorgeous Spanish-style venue Fallbrook Hacienda that had a really neat cactus garden (this was a huge reason why they wanted to have their engagement session at Joshua Tree National Park!). So many things happened during their reception, full of fun and laughter, that I can’t even explain what was going on. You’ll just have to see the photos!

Alison and Tony

TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA

The day before Alison and Tony’s vow renewal celebration, Southern California was met with a rainy and dreary day. I feared the worst, expecting that the ceremony would be doused in similar weather. However, that was not the case at all. As Alison and Tony’s intimate guests gathered on the lawn of Ponte Winery in Temecula, the blue sky was covered with spots of dramatic clouds. You couldn’t ask for better weather.

With that said, the rest of the celebration was equally as beautiful. After having been married for over two decades, Alison and Tony did something that I think is so romantic – they celebrated their marriage once more in front of close friends and family. This time, their three boys joined in the celebration!
